Round 1 discussion questions:
•  How would you explain your research to a non-roboticist (or, how do you use an "elevator speech" to promote yourself)? What makes such a speech effective?
•  What are you hoping to do after the PhD, and what are the obstacles/hurdles that you see ahead of you?
•  We all have too much to do, and too little time. What habits do you use to effectively manage your time?
•  How do you use social media to network and promote yourself and your research professionally?
Round 2 discussion questions:
•  What are the challenges you have faced in managing a team? Do you have any strategies for supervising others? (presumably they will advise undergraduates, junior grad students, and be moving into a role of Post-doc, team lead, etc in the near future)
•  For those interested in collaborative / multi-disciplinary research, what are some of the ins/outs pros/cons of such endeavors?
•  What professional societies are you involved with (including and beyond IEEE RAS) and what do you get out of them?
•  How do you strive to achieve that mythical thing called "work-life balance"? Or, what strategies do you use to make time for personal life in the age of instant (and constant!) communication?
